Audioramio - the world first Pronunciation Atlas.

The world is full of fascinating languages that are a crucial part of human heritage.
Audioramio is a free and open projects that provides a mapping platform for people to be able to record and share the local pronunciation of place names.

Browse the Atlas
Have you ever wondered how to pronounce the places you visited during your vacation?
Browse the atlas and help yourself for the next time you are abroad and you need to ask for directions.
Use the green menu to access different categories of places.

Contribute
Make sure no one will ever mispronounce your birthplace again!!
Contribute to the atlas and help people grasp your local culture, starting with the correct pronunciation of local toponyms.
Audioramio only provides the platform for mapping the world languages and local dialects, but only with your help we can complete the project.

Contributions are welcome for every possible place you can think of, from counties and cities, to hotels and parks.
Audioramio is created to accommodate every possible local language/dialect and accents. Some places can be pronounced in several different ways, and we think every one of these is important as it gives insights into the history of the place.

To record a contribution, tap on the recording button in the menu.
Its that simple!!

Quality control
The site is based on user generated content, however the content is never uploaded automatically to the website. The user record its contributions and upload them to an e-mail address. Each and every one of the audio file submitted will then be individually checked by a moderator to avoid abusive language and poor quality contributions. Only if the audio files meet the quality standards of the website it will be posted online.
Users that send us abusive material will be automatically excluded from any future contributions to the website.
Under each contribution there is a link to send us an email reporting a problem with that contribution. Use it if you find that the audio file is not appropriate, for any reason, with the place name it should represent.
